Nika

Nika is the Russian short form of Veronika (and other names ending in -nika), a cognate of Veronica, which is the Latin form of Berenike, the Macedonian form of Greek Pherenike meaning "bringing victory" from Greek pheros (to bring) and nike (victory).

Nika is also the short form of Nikita, the Russian male form of Greek niketas meaning "winner, victory".

Nika is also the Slovene and Croatian feminine form of Nikola, a cognate of Nicholas, meaning "victory of the people".

It's also the masculine diminutive of Nikoloz, the Georgian form of Nicholas.
