Meaning: most of the sites I’ve gone to list it as the Hungarian form of Priscilla, meaning “ancient” but Behind the Name (a site I go to frequently) lists it as coming from the word piros, which means red in Hungarian, with a diminutive suffix. Since piros does mean red in Hungarian, it could very well be true. So its meaning is either “ancient” or “red”.
